You may have seen my sarcastic twitter persona @CoKaneFriendly, now meet the other side: A Rumi quoting, spring sappling hugging, paintbrush pushing life enthusiast.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
According to blogspot, this is my most popular poem of “all time”
…”all time” being the last three years.
I’m glad though, because it’s one of my favorites, too.
That first time that I really thought hard about life and death and love
when I laid on my bed and just realized infinity and unity and all of those things
I felt my body come apart
it’s really hard to explain
For a second I was just energy
I could feel
every cell
every tiny molecule in me
and
all the space between them
I felt how they were just separate things held together
they werent just
body
they were
bits
I felt like the static on a television screen
It was just a second
and it felt like falling really fast
and it felt like glowing really bright
but then I coalesced
I feel like I was in heaven
for just a split second
Heaven being
just a state of pure energy
I wasnt human
I swear I died
Me describing a once achieved heightened state of being to Ryan Dowd
What’s a great quote you’ve read or written that you wouldn’t mind going on your epitaph?
